The British Museum

An interactive site made for kids where you can visit the workshop of a Chinese master craftsman, explore the tomb of a wealthy lord or have a go at being a silkworm farmer. Use the menu at the side to navigate.


Top Ten Temples

This travel website has provided an article about ten of China's most famous temples. There is some information about each temple, including when it was built and a brief history. Photographs of each building will help you learn about ancient Chinese architecture.

First Chinese Emperor
Read about China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi (Qin is pronounced chin). Read more detailed information about Qin Shi Huangdi and the palaces and grand tomb he had built for himself.


The Great Wall

Qin Shi Huangdi also ordered the construction of The Great Wall. It took over 300 years to build. Learn more at Kid Cyber. Activity VIllage has some great information and photographs but you will have to ignore the annoying advertisements! Watch a two minute video.
